Iranian Foreign Minister expressing displeasure with the European stands on the JCPOA has said that they appear to be unaware of JCPOA, they should ask their advisers about JCPOA and our recent letters.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Javad Zarif while answering the question raised by Iran Press correspondent about the technical and political message of Iran's 5th step for the European side said: "From now on, we will continue with our peaceful nuclear program based on our needs, but that does not mean the end of JCPOA rather it means we have taken remedial measures recognized under paragraph 36 of JCPOA," he added.

"These remedial measures are reversible provided that the other signatories to the JCPOA and for the time being the E3 and the EU will observe their own commitments, we don't want them to compensate for the United States although they committed themselves in eleven steps to compensate for the United States," he highlighted.

"Let them at least do what they have committed themselves to do in paragraph 3 of annex 2 of the JCPOA that is they have to make it known and effective that they have removed the sanctions. Have they done anything? Have they taken a single step to show that the sanctions are lifted?" FM continued.

"Now, Europe instead of making unnecessary noises has to implement their own commitments let alone the eleven steps that they have committed to do after the US withdrawal their own commitments," Zarif continued in his answer to IP.

"Did they implement the blocking statue? They put it on a piece of paper. Did they take a single European company to court for leaving Iran? Because that is the meaning of blocking statue. Are they continuing to buy oil from Iran? Are they continuing to support banking exchanges? They are not even capable of implementing the INSTEX," the minister added.

"So instead of making big slogans, making threats, and talking about implementing paragraph 36 they should think about the response to Iran's implementation of paragraph 36 from May 28 till November of 28," he said,

"In five letters we have told them we took the steps we had directors and ministerial meetings and then in November informed them that we have taken and exhausted all measures within paragraph 36 if they did not read those these letters if they did not read JCPOA they should talk to their advisors," Zarif concluded. 207/205
