Iran Press/Iran News: Hassan Rahimi, an MP representing Tehran, Ray and Shemiranat while speaking at the parliament, said: "It is regrettable that the United States, which has long claimed to champion democracy and peace, violates international laws as brutally as possible, and in front of the eyes of the world, assassinating a state official of another country."
The member of the Majlis presiding board stressed: "The Iranian nation would give a firm response to the United States. America's hatred of General Soleimani, is the hatred of the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the path of martyrdom."
Martyred Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was assassinated along with several senior members of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Friday Morning 3 January at Baghdad International airport.
Martyred Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was awarded by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the first Iranian military official to hold Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
