Iran Press/ Iran news: According to Iranian Foreign Ministery's Media and Public Diplomacy Department, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif issued a statement this morning condemning the terrorist and criminal act of US forces in the martyrdom of Honorable Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds elite force Maj. Gen Ghasem Soleimani, sending congratulations and great condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Seyyed Ayatollah Khamenei, the Revolutionary Guards, the great Iranian people, and their noble families and the Islamic Resistance Forces.
Iran's foreign minister added: "The brutality and stupidity of American forces in terrorist act of assassinating Major General Ghasem Soleimani, this heroic martyr and commander of the fight against terrorism and extremism, will undoubtedly make the tree of resistance in the region and the world more prosperous.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran will use all its political, legal, and international capacities to implement the decisions of the Supreme National Security Council to hold the US criminal and terrorist regime accountable for this blatant crime," Zarif stressed.
