Tehran (IP) - The second regional security dialogue got underway in Tehran on Wednesday morning.

Iran Press/Iran news: The national security advisers and top security officials from Iran, Russia, China, India, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are taking part in this one-day meeting hosted by the secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.

The meeting focuses on Afghanistan and the fight against various forms of terrorism in that country.

According to an Iran Press report, the first Regional Security Dialogue was held in October 2018 in Tehran, with the participation of Iran, Russia, China, India, and Afghanistan.

Increasing coordination among regional countries against Takfiri terrorism was discussed at that meeting.

This year's expanded meeting will also include Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, countries which border Afghanistan.  101/211/207
