Head of Iran Civil Aviation Organization Ali Abedzadeh

The Head of Iran Civil Aviation Organization Ali Abedzadeh stated that he will sue ICAO over US sanctions against Iran's airline industry.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of the Tehran Transport and Logistics Exhibition on Monday, the Head of Iran Civil Aviation Organization Ali Abedzadeh said: "With the help of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, we are pursuing the lifting of sanctions against Iran's aviation industry."

He added: "Some European countries, which have been forced to sanction Iranian airlines, have written to ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) saying US sanctions against Iran's airline industry are of a political nature, rather than technical", Iran Press reported.

The head of Iran Civil Aviation Organization also announced the purchase of two new aircraft in the near future.

Iran Civil Aviation Organization had sued ICAO in June 2019 over sanctions slapped on Iran's aviation industry.
