Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Iranian Member of the Parliament Bahman Taherkhani who is member of Judicial and legal commission of the Majlis on the occasion of International Human Rights Day said that lots of innocent women and children have been killed worldwide who were not involved in the war at all.
After the Second Worldwar, a world declaration has been ratified in the support of human right and many countries namely the United States have joined. Unfortunately, this organization has become a tool for powerful countries like the US, Taherkhni declared.
The Iranian MP and member of Judicial and legal commission of the Majlis added: We have witnessed a lot of killings in which the US was involved directly or indirectly. The example of this fact is the war we have witnessed in the Middle East in which lots of people have been killed by the US or its allies.
Today the Human Right Organization has become a tool to put pressure on countries which want to be independent, Taherkhni said.
Iranian MP said: Today lots of innocent people are killed in Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Syria which is the opposite of human rights.
The human right is not observed in the US, we see that black people and poor people are not in good conditions, He concluded.
Human Rights Day is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December every year. The date was chosen to honor the United Nations General Assembly's adoption and proclamation, on 10 December 1948, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the first global enunciation of human rights and one of the first major achievements of the new United Nations.
The formal establishment of Human Rights Day occurred at the 317th Plenary Meeting of the General Assembly on 4 December 1950, when the General Assembly declared resolution 423(V), inviting all member states and any other interested organizations to celebrate the day as they saw fit.205/204
