Iran Press/Iran news: Iran and Tajikistan economic officials sat for 13th edition of the Joint Commission meeting which was held on Tuesday morning.
Iranian Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian and Tajikistan Minister of Energy and Water Resources Usmonali Usmonzoda attended this meeting.
During the event, Ardakanian stressed that Iran's relationship expansion with Islamic countries is always considered a top priority, especially with neighbors like Tajikistan.
"Furthermore, both countries are expanding economic, commercial, insurance and banking, social, transportation, agriculture, cultural and technical engineering ties," added Ardakanian.
Iran's energy minister explained further, "If it were not for the sanctions, we might not have allocated this much time to extend relation without neighbors. By lifting and ending sanctions our relations won't stop, though sanctions put out most pressure on our people, they have made us consider our capacities, equipment and opportunities more than ever before."
Ardakanian also expressed hope that Iran's neighbors care about this opportunity to extend relations with Iran as well.
"The world also has gotten the movements and changes of our relationship with neighbors," said Iran's top energy official.
It is noteworthy to mention that the two sides have inked the Memorandum of Understanding on the fields of health care, Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare, Youth and the Sports, Oil, and Gas, Electricity and Energy, the Business cooperation, Chamber of Commerce, Custom Investment, Banking Affairs, Insurance, and Mapping. 205/219
