Iran Press/Iran news: According to the president's official website, Abbas Keshavarz was appointed as caretaker of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad.
The resignation comes as the Iranian Parliament was slated to impeach the minister on Tuesday.
Asadollah Abbasi the spokesman for the Iranian Parliament’s presiding board, said the impeachment session has now been cancelled since the minister has chosen to resign.
