The Spokesman of the Majlis Presiding Board Asadollah Abbasi

The Iranian Parliament discussed and debated the fourth successive step in reducing Iran's commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran Press/Iran News: Talking about the fourth step to pull back from Iran's commitment to the JCPOA, the Spokesman of the Majlis Presiding Board Asadollah Abbasi told the reporters on Tuesday morning before the start of the parliament's open session that the fourth step is a strategic approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran and every step should be taken carefully.

He referred to the remarks of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on JCPOA and talks with the United States, emphasizing that in case of holding any talks, it should be within the context of 5+1 Group, and all sanctions against Iran should be lifted.

Regarding Iran's 2020 Budget bill, the top parliamentarian added: "Since we are about to present the 2020 Budget bill to the Majlis, the bill was assessed and compared to the budget for the current year in terms of form and content so that the amount of non-dependency on oil revenues is determined."

The representative to Northern cities of Rudsar and Amlash in the Iranian parliament explained further that the budget bill should be realistic and achievable. It also must include the regional balance considerations.
