The inauguration ceremony of election headquarters was held on Monday, 11 November, attended by Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.

Iran PressIran news: The department opened to carry out preparations for the upcoming Parliament elections, which is going to be held on 21 February 2020.

With the attendance of interior minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, the inauguration ceremony was held at the interior ministry's headquarters in the capital Tehran.

The office comprises departments such as public relations and election audits. It also has committees such as legal affairs and technology and statistics.

Would-be candidates for the elections will be allowed to register from 7 December 2019. 

Noting more than 20 government institutions were in charge of organizing the elections and ensuring security, Rahmani Fazli said the election serves as a litmus test for the Iranian nation at a time of extreme economic and political pressure by the enemies. 104/211/219
