Tehran (IP) - President Hassan Rouhani has emphasized that 4th step of reducing JCPOA commitments will begin on Wednesday morning by his order.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the opening ceremony of the  Azadi Innovation Factory, which supports startup and knowledge-based companies, President Hassan Rouhani commented on Iran's landmark nuclear deal with world powers, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and said that he will shortly give the order for the fourth incremental step to further reduce Iran's commitment to JCPOA.

He pointedly added: "If other signatories to the nuclear deal don't honor their commitments, they can't expect Iran to honor its commitments fully."

He said: "Iran's 4th step will begin tomorrow (Wednesday) when gas will be fed into new centrifuges at the Fordo facility."

He also said before beginning the fourth step Iran will inform the European Union and European members of JCPOA of its intention to start the fourth incremental step.

The President emphasized that Iran cannot unilaterally fulfill its obligations, while they are not fulfilling their obligations, saying: "At the same time, we are committed to all the negotiations we had with some countries and behind the scenes, and we will continue that."

In other part of his speech, President Rouhani pointed to the opening of Azadi Innovation Factory and said: "This is a big change, but it needs infrastructure, culture, and collaboration. The Internet of things will change our lives and is a major new development which hi-tech companies should make use of."

"In the industry and technology and even in science, we usually followed other countries. Industrial countries usually took a step and then we came to do it. But here we can have an innovation that no one else has done before," Rouhani added.

He further noted: "Every process has its problems. We have to alleviate those problems, but we've done a great job by opening an innovation factory today, and the good thing is that everyone is sitting in the same hall."

President Rouhani also said: "In today's world, the status of knowledge-based companies is more valuable to our dignity, prestige, and resilience. Resistance is not just achieved by the slogan of resistance; resistance will be achieved in the shadow of science, knowledge, effort, work, and of course, in the shadow of negotiation."

president Rouhani added: "Although innovation may be hard to accept for some people, particularly the older generation, but it can't be resisted and the younger generation and hi-tech knowledge-based companies must take full advantage of innovation and new technology."
