Iran Press/ Iran news: The head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi has emphasized that Iran used to produce just 450 grams of enriched Uranium per day, but this figure has now increased to 5 kilograms per day.
Salehi said Iran's reserves of enriched Uranium have increased steadily, particularly after taking the third incremental step to scale back our commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Before that third step, he said, "We didn't store the Uranium that we enriched for testing, and our reserves of enriched uranium did not increase from one day to another. But after we took the third incremental step, our stocks of enriched Uranium are now increasing daily."
Salehi who was speaking at the Natanz Uranium processing facility at mid-day Monday stressed: "We think it bodes well for Iran that the official unveiling of the chain of IR6 centrifuges has coincided with the National Day of the Campaign Against Arrogant Powers".
He added: "Scientists and experts of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran are following the footsteps of the martyrs of nuclear energy and we shall continue their path. We shall continue our way forward with conviction and courage."
