The Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi is to attend a press conference on Monday to deliver a speech on the forth scale-back step to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran PressIran news: The Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Ali Akbar Salehi will attend the press conference at 10:30 GMT in Natanz nuclear site, located in Natanz city of Isfahan province in central Iran after he visits the nuclear facility. 

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said on Thursday that the SNSC has made the relevant decisions on the scale-back measures and is finalizing them.

In this regard also, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Saturday, the Iranian senior MP Mohammad Javad Jamali said that the country in the fourth step of reducing its commitments to Iran's nuclear agreement 2015 known as JCPOA will pursue upgrading the enrichment centrifuges and nuclear propellants as well as the Arak and Fordo facilities.

He asserted that the scale-back measures were taken in response to the US and European parties' failing to their commitments under JCPOA.

Furthermore,  in a recent meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov in Moscow, Abbas Araghchi pointed to the French plan and President Hassan Rouhani's talks in New York, saying Iran always welcomes any idea and initiative for the peaceful resolution of the existing deadlock. 

Araghchi went on to say that no one should doubt the Islamic Republic's will reduce its commitments.

Top diplomat, meanwhile, stressed that the path to diplomacy is still open but is getting thinner and harder every day, and if the remaining countries in the agreement are serious about preserving it, they should know that time is running out.
