Iran and Venezuela will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand scientific and technological cooperation by establishing knowledge-based companies.

Iran Press/Iran news: On the sidelines of a visit to Pardis Technology Park, Venezuelan Science and Technology Minister Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez said that an MoU would be signed with Iran's Presidential Deputy for Science and Technology, adding that it would be a great opportunity for the development of science in Venezuela.

Venezuelan minister went on to say that, "Iran and Venezuela have the opportunity to collaborate in the field of science and technology and develop new talents in the two countries and use technology to preserve and promote peace and prosperity."

She also mentioned that her country appreciates and takes all opportunities to exchange science and technology with Iran.

Venezuelan Science and Technology Minister in her visit to Iran also met and held talks with Iran's Minister of Science, Research, and Technology Mansour Gholami in Tehran on Thursday.

Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Mansour Gholami, in a meeting with Venezuela's Minister of Science and Technology Gabriela Survilia Ramirez on Thursday in Tehran, said: "450 joint projects are underway between universities of Iran and the world."

"We understand the situation in Venezuela very well, and we know that imperialist countries like the US do not hesitate to bully other nations," Gholami said, referring to some problems in Venezuela.101/205
