Iranian FM Spox: On JCPOA commitements

Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman said a committee in the Supreme National Security Council of (SNSC) is working on the measures to be taken as the fourth step to scale back Iran's commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said on Thursday that the SNSC has made the relevant decisions on the scale-back measures and is finalizing them.

"The path to diplomacy is open and the Europeans, especially the French are striving to fulfill their obligations to Iran's nuclear agreement 2015 known as JCPOA," Mousavi said.

According to Iran Press, He said: "So far no action has been taken by the Europeans and their efforts have yielded no tangible results. We think the committee formed in the SNSC is planning the fourth step. If the situation does not change, we will take the fourth step."

Elsewhere, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi congratulated the newly elected head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to keep and develop constructive interaction based on goodwill and mutual respect and on the basis of the IAEA's professional diligence and impartiality.

Emphasizing the IAEA's unique role in the nuclear aspects of the JCPOA and the Agency's significance in the field of Iran's peaceful nuclear cooperation with other member states of IAEA, Mousavi wished success for the new Director-General of IAEA in his important responsibility.

Iran’s fourth 60-day ultimatum to remaining parties of JCPOA to live up to their own commitments will end on November 5, while they have not taken any practical steps to meet Iran’s legitimate demands.104/219
