Iran Press/Iran news: In an interview on Iranian television on Wednesday the Chinese ambassador to Tehran Chang Hua said: "From China's perspective, we think the United States exerting extreme pressure on Iran is the fundamental reason behind Iran nuclear crisis. America's unilateral sanctions against Iran are also part of the problem."
In further comments, the Chinese ambassador Chang Hua said: "The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is a great achievement of multilateralism, Iran Press reported.
"JCPOA has been endorsed by the United Nations Security Council. So supporting the JCPOA means supporting multilateralism. It will protect the authority of the international community," he added.
Turning to the issue of obligations versus rights of the signatory states, the Chinese ambassador said there should be a balance between the two. He added: "All the signatory states of the JCPOA should comprehensively implement their obligations and rights under the nuclear deal. Iran should resume its obligations under the JCPOA but it is also very important that other parties should also make every effort to protect the economy of Iran." 101/211
