Iran Press/ Iran news: Ali Larijani in a meeting with visiting Syrian ambassador to Tehran 'Adnan Mahmoud' on Monday stressed that maintaining the territorial integrity of Syria has always been in the focus of the Islamic Republic of Iran and would consult with other countries in this regard.
He added that damaging the territorial integrity of Syria increases the problems of the Syrian people, adding, "The Islamic Republic of Iran will support the security and stability of Syria."Iran Press reported.
Adnan Mahmoud, the Syrian ambassador to Tehran, referred to the Turkish-Syrian Kurds truce said the Turkish army has deployed forces into Syria and attacks continue.
"Even yesterday, Erdogan stressed that Turkey is seeking to establish what he calls "a Safe Zone" in Syria that would be 444 kilometers long and 32 kilometers deep," he said.
The Syrian ambassador to Tehran, thanking the Islamic Republic of Iran for its efforts, went on to say that with the defeat of the US plan in Syria, the creation of a safe zone for Turkey should be prevented.
