Iranian athletes rank 1st in Karate-1 Premier League

Iranian karate squad with 3 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medals stood in the first place at 2019 Karate-1 Premier League held in Moscow, Russia.

Iran Press/Iran news: The event was held in the attendance of 642 fighters from 85 countries.

The Karate-1 Premier League has world federation ranking in line with the 2020 Summer Olympics quota, reported Iran press.

The 2020 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXII Olympiad and commonly known as Tokyo 2020, is an upcoming international multi-sport event that is scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 9, 2020, in Tokyo, Japan, with preliminary events in some sports beginning on July 22.

Spain with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals ranked second and Azerbaijan with 2 gold and 1 bronze medals stood in the third place.

Japan, Russia, Turkey and France ranked 4th -7th.
