Tehran (IP)- Iranian Parliament (Majlis) in its Tuesday open session addressed the tax on added value.

Iran PressIran News: The open session of the Iranian parliament was held on Tuesday with Speaker Ali Larijani chairing the session.

The bill of Article 6 about tax on added value was ratified through 163  in favour to 13 votes against and with 1 abstention.

Article 6 of the second chapter is about the tax reception, tax rate, and tax calculation.

Calculation of the tax is done on the total of custom value including buying cost, transportation cost, and insurance fee.

Article 7 addresses the calculation of the tax rate on goods and services except for specific goods, the rate of which has been ratified 9 percent in article 27 of the sixth chapter of the law.

The article 8 was sent with all of its notes to the parliament's economic commission. The bill addressed the reduction of the tax on goods and services tax-payers must pay for economic activities which will be allowed for their financial credit and reduced from their selling-tax.

As for Chapter Three, on tax exemptions, Article 9 was sent to the economic commission for further examination. 104/219
