Iran Press/ Europe: Russia’s envoy to the international organizations Mikhail Ulyanov wrote on Wednesday on his twitter account that the European troika (France, Britain, Germany) have reported successful dispatching of medical supplies to Iran through INSTEX.
Ulyanov stressed elsewhere in another tweet that as the US cross-border sanctions have not been lifted, the INSTEX measures must be expanded on the goods that have been sanctioned.
“The list of participants of the INSTEX project should be expanded to countries outside the European Union; this should be done with human considerations,” he added.
The German Foreign Ministry on Tuesday confirmed the first financial operation with Iran based on INSTEX, stating Germany, France, and the UK managed to do the first trade exchange through the mechanism by sending medical supplies to Iran.
France government also confirmed the transaction and announced readiness to expand the exchange and discuss about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) commitments.
