Iran Press/ Europe: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris have criticized Israel's plan to build another 5,000 residential units in the occupied Palestinian lands.
According to a report by France 24, the Foreign Affairs Ministries of France and Germany warned that the new plan would further separate occupied East al-Quds from the West Bank and therefore jeopardize the possibility of a coherent and viable Palestinian state.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the unlawful construction project on Thursday. More than 600,000 Israeli settlers currently live in the West Bank and East al-Quds, which are occupied by Israel. While the UN classifies the colonies as violating international law, US President Donald Trump's Middle East plan promises to recognize all of the existing illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. 207/211
