Iran Press/ Europe: Iran-Russia cooperation in various politico-economic,nuclear and international fields have been growing in recent years.
Following America's exit from the JCPOA, Tehran and Moscow have been consulting intensively to safeguard and maintain the nuclear deal, according to an IRNA report. .

The two countries are cooperating with regards to construction of two electricity-generating nuclear power plants in Bushehr province, cooperation in production of stable radioisotopes as well as economic cooperation, which has been developing and growing in recent years.
President Vladimir Putin attended trilateral summit in Tehran last Friday and also met with the Leader of Islamic Revolution.
Also, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano said that Iran is implementing its' nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
IAEA Director General noted that it is essential that Iran continues to fully implement those commitments.
Amano added: "My report on verification and monitoring in the Islamic Republic of Iran in light of United Nations Security Council resolution 2231 (2015) covers relevant activities of the Agency in that country in the last few months.

US President Donald Trump officially declared America's withdrawal from the JCPOA on 8 May 2018.
Two month ago US Secretary of State talked about a "maximum pressure campaign" targeting Iran that will support protests in this country.
Pompeo along with US national security adviser, John Bolton has been a vocal critic of Iran and the internationally negotiated Iran nuclear deal of 2015.
Tehran has said it would make a decision on its future role in the nuclear agreement in the coming weeks following negotiations with the other signatories to the deal.
EU powers have scrambled to save the JCPOA and protect their businesses in Iran, after re-imposition of US sanctions.
Part of the US illegitimate sanctions were imposed on Iran on August 9.Trump also said he would reinstate the US nuclear sanctions on Iran and impose “the highest level” of economic bans on the Islamic Republic.
Earlier, president Hassan Rouhani said there could be no talks as long as Washington was reneging on the deal."
“If you stab someone with a knife and then you say you want talks, then the first thing you have to do is remove the knife,” Rouhani said.
“We are always in favour of diplomacy and talks ... But talks need honesty,” Rouhani said. “Trump’s call for direct talks is only for domestic consumption in America ahead of elections ... and to create chaos in Iran.”
