Yukiya Amano Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said that the agency will continue its cooperation with Iran regardless of US withdrawal of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Despite US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), IAEA at the request of the United Nations Security Council will be given a go ahead on verifying and monitoring fully implementation of Iran’s nuclear commitments, Yukiya Amano Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) noted.

Yukiya Amano today published a new statement on IAEA access to Iran’s nuclear sites.

In a statement submitted to IAEA's Governing Board with regard to the verification system and monitoring Iran’s nuclear program, Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency said, “US had earlier announced that it will withdraw from Iran’s nuclear deal unilaterally.”

In its' previous report, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) approved Iran’s full compliance with its commitments within the framework of  JCPOA.

US President Donald Trump officially declared America's withdrawal from the  JCPOA on  8 May  2018.

Tehran has said it would make a decision on its future role in the nuclear agreement in the coming weeks following negotiations with the other signatories to the deal.

EU powers have scrambled to save the JCPOA and protect their businesses in Iran, after re-imposition of US sanctions.
