Zarif in a joint press conference with Sergey Lavrov

Iran's Foreign Minister said in a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart that Tehran and Moscow will expand economic ties in various fields.

Iran Press/Europe: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks on Monday in a joint press conference with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, saying that Iran has multilateral cooperation with its neighbors including Eurasian countries.

He added that Iran and Russia have good cooperation to end the Syria crisis.

The Foreign Minister went on to say that Tehran and Moscow have been working hard to maintain Iran's nuclear agreement 2015.

He said that the European sides have not shown the political will necessary to maintain the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran, Russia keen to save JCPOA

The Iranian foreign minister and his Russian counterpart said that Tehran and Moscow are keen to maintain Iran's nuclear agreement 2015.

For his part, Lavrov said Moscow and Tehran are keen to maintain the JCPOA.

Zarif arrived in Moscow late on Sunday to hold bilateral talks between Iranian and Russian foreign ministers on Monday.205/214
