Iran Press/ Asia: December 17 coincides with the anniversary of the death of Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi, known as the Bride's Night, and an array of Turkish political and cultural officials are due to attend this ceremony.
Various programs such as music concerts, Sama dance (Whirling dervishes) and exhibitions on various topics will be organized in the commemoration.
The event is held each year from December 7 to 17, organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the province of Konya.
The celebration has been going on since 1937, with tens of thousands of tourists and Molana fans coming to the city.
Iran's ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Farazmand has traveled to Konya to attend the anniversary. Farazmand will attend this ceremony along with ambassadors of 40 other countries. 207/211/219
