Iran Press/ America: The first military satellite of the Islamic Republic of Iran was successfully put into the orbit by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
The launch came as US President Donald Trump revealed he had instructed the US navy to fire on any Iranian ships that harass it at sea, the Independent reported.
A week after the US navy claimed that 11 vessels came dangerously close to US ships in the Persian Gulf.
"I have instructed the United States navy to shoot down and destroy any and all Iranian gunboats if they harass our ships at sea," Trump wrote in a tweet, hours after IRGC said it had launched the country's first military satellite into orbit.
'Noor', as the first military satellite of the Islamic Republic of Iran, launched on Wednesday morning and placed it into the orbit at an altitude of 425 km.
The satellite launch was carried out on the anniversary of the establishment of the IRGC.
