Russia Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya

Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya, on Wednesday in the UNSC meeting once again supported the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action known as JCPOA.

Iran Press/America: During the United Nations Security Council meeting, on preparing for the 2020 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference, called JCPOA as the exclusive diplomatic achievement which is bilateral in nature saying that the international deal, have been put at the risk due to US renouncing its international obligation.

US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the JCPOA on May 8 , 2018 with the sanctions against Iran resuming. The move has been slammed by the American and international community.

The European Union and the European Troika (Germany, Britain and France) have pledged to maintain the deal after the United States illegally withdrew from it, but so far they have not succeeded in the practical steps they had promised to maintain it.
