Toronto (IP): Protests over the American airstrike that assassinated Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani were held on Saturday in Toronto.

Iran Press/America: Canadian Muslims in Toronto hold a rally to condemn the assassination of the commander of the Quds Forces of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani in the US airstrikes in Iraq.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was assassinated along with several senior members of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Friday Morning 3 January at Baghdad International airport.

The assassination sparked massive protests and criticism in Iran and around the world. 

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was awarded by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the first Iranian military official to hold Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. 212/ 104
