Venezuela condemns Soleimani assassination

The Venezuelan government has emphasized that the assassination of top IRGC Quds Force Commander, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, is a blatant violation of international laws.

Iran Press/America: The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry has forthrightly condemned a US airstrike which assassinated top Iranian General, Qassem Soleimani, stressing the US move further fueled regional tensions and went against international law.

The Venezuelan government also offered its condolences to the Iranian and Iraqi peoples for the martyrdom of the top Iranian general.

The Foreign Ministry of Venezuela also called for respect for international laws and urged conflicting parties to contribute to maintaining peace in the Middle East.

Martyred Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani was assassinated along with several senior members of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in the early hours of Friday morning 3 January, at Baghdad International airport. 101/211/207
