Tehran (IP) - The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran said the customs tariff between Iran and Syria has reached zero.

Iran PressIran News: In the meeting with Mohammad Samer Al-Khalil, Minister of Economy and Trade of Syria in Tehran on Monday, Mehrdad Bazrpash said the documents and MoUs signed during the visit of the President of Iran to Syria should be followed up.

Bazrpash and Al-Khalil, as the heads of the Joint Commission on Cooperation between Iran and Syria, also attended a joint press conference.

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran pointed out the presence of Iranian tourists in Syria after the agreement between the two countries and said: 50,000 Iranian tourists go to Syria every year with the launched flights.

Bazarpash said: In the field of transportation, positive agreements were made between Iran and Syria and it was decided to strengthen the infrastructure of ports in Iran and Syria.

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran stated: It was decided that the Iran-Iraq-Syria transit route will be quickly strengthened and provided for the transit of goods.

The Minister of Economy and Trade of Syria also said that the goal is to achieve economic cooperation between the two countries, and many steps have been taken in the field of banking cooperation, tourism, transportation, and free trade.
