Iran Press/ Iran news: Minister of Information and Communications Technology of Iran Isa Zarepour today (Monday) met with the Syrian Arab Republic's Minister of Communications and Technology Iyad al-Khatib in Tehran regarding the development of joint cooperation in the field of communications and information technology and the signing of a memorandum of understanding as well as exchanging views between the two countries.
The expansion of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria in the field of platforms, electronic government, and space industry was among the other issues discussed in the meeting of the Ministers of Communication and Information Technology of Iran and Syria.
The Minister of Communications and Technology of Syria, who has traveled to Tehran along with the Syrian delegation headed by "Mohammed Samer Khalil", the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade of Syria, in continuation of his trip, tomorrow in a meeting hosted by the Deputy Minister of Technology and Innovation of the Minister of Communications and with the presence of Iranian private companies will examine the scope and capabilities of these companies and their entry into the Syrian market.
Getting to know the capabilities of the space industry of the Islamic Republic and private companies active in this field, which provides space services, in a joint meeting hosted by "Hassan Salarieh", the deputy minister of Information and Communications Technology and the Director of the Iranian Space Research Center and Head of Iran's Space Agency, is one of the other plans of the Syrian Minister of Technology and Technology's trip to Iran.
