Tehran(IP)- Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman, on his weekly news conferee, said that the Ukraine crisis has no effect on Vienna talks.

Iran PressIran News: On Wednesday morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin officially announced a special military operation against Ukraine. Putin says he had no other choice than to launch the military operation to stop the Ukrainian military's interference in two eastern republics that have broken away from Ukraine. Russia perceives NATO's eastward expansion as a threat.

In his press conference on Monday, Iran's Foreign Ministery Spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh, in response to Iran Press question whether the Ukraine crisis can affect Vienna talks, noted that all those familiar with diplomacy know that various cases are being followed in their ways though there may be different points of view.

He went on to say that what goes on in Vienna, is according to a common understanding to preserve all parties' interests.

Up to now, all behaviors and talks in Vienna have been professional and respectful so that proper results which be reached beside all differences, Khatibzadeh added.

Following his press conference, the Foreign Ministry Spokesman referred to Iran's chief negotiator, Ali Bagheri Kani's return to Tehran and called it to discuss Vienna's remaining issues.

He said that the West had not decided yet, and no ambiguity was left for them.

Iran's Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that there is no ambiguity for Washington and Europe about Iran's red lines in the Vienna talks urging that other sides will not prolong the talks any further.

Referring to the visit of the senior negotiator of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tehran, Saeed Khatibzadeh  said: "A draft of the agreement has been prepared and it was necessary to study this draft carefully."

Unfortunately, the West and the United States have not yet made a political decision on the three main issues.

We are now at a point where we think there is no ambiguity for Washington and Europe about these red lines. We firmly expect that the other sides will not prolong the talks any further.

He also said that over 97 to 98 percent of the nuclear draft of the agreement has been co-written.

Elsewhere, Khatibzadeh referred to the situation in Ukraine and said that all Iranian citizens in Ukraine are worried, and it is understandable.

The Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained all about the measures taken to help the Iranian nationals get through the Ukrainian crisis and leave the war-torn country.

He continued: "We transferred the Iranians from war zones to safer areas in the east and tried to leave through the Belarusian border." Of course, there were about 40 or 50 people left in Kharkiv on the day of the war, and we tried to find them; Although that area is now placed under curfew.

Khatibzadeh stated that the officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been following the issue at various levels in the past few nights, adding that there has been vans with Iran's flag on the Ukrainian-Polish border; which are waiting for Iranian citizens to be transferred to the country.
