Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour on Friday, May 22 reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the coronavirus.
He said, "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to May 22 in the country, 2,311 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 131,652."
Fortunately, 102,276 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far, Jahanpour added.
The Spokesman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 51 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 7,300 people have lost their lives in the country to date."
He stated, "2,659 patients are in a critical condition."
Furthermore, Over the past 24 hours, no death has been reported in 14 provinces with only one death in six provinces.
"So far, 763,913 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokesman said.
