Iran Press/Iran News: In a meeting of specialized committees and the operational headquarters of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus on Thursday, Hassan Rouhani stated that the Ministry of Health and Medical Education has prepared a list of priorities for people who should receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Rouhani noted that older adults with underlying diseases and those with incurable diseases, as well as medical staff directly dealing with the coronavirus, are given priority for the vaccine.
He added that the vaccine distribution among other groups would continue until the vaccination of all individuals is completed, and it is ensured that the chain of transmission of the virus would stop.
Rouhani announced that the necessary infrastructure has been provided to supply the chain of cold vaccine delivery to Iran with the cooperation of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the Civil Aviation Organization.
He pointed out that full support for domestic vaccine production will be one of the government's top priorities.
"The honorable people of Iran will certainly not be misled by the foreign media; the same media that have tried to affect the country's achievements and programs in combating the coronavirus from the beginning of the outbreak through psychological operations in the form of magnifying and highlighting some statistics, including the number of patients and deaths," the president highlighted.
