At least 22 Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli military when they shot indiscriminately into the crowd taking part in the 'Great March of Return' protests for the 50th consecutive Friday in the Gaza strip.

Iran Press/Middle East: Tens of thousands of Gazans demonstrated on the border with Israel on Friday after the highest commission of the March of Return demonstrations called for Palestinians to join in the day of protest.

The Gaza-based Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that at least 22 Palestinians wounded by Zionist military forces.

Tensions have been high on the Gaza Strip border following a week of incursions and skirmishes by the Zionist military forces in the enclave, Iran Press reported.

In a security incident Friday afternoon, the Israeli forces said its troops arrested two Palestinians who crossed the Gaza Strip border fence into occupied Palestine.

Earlier Friday, four fishermen from Gaza were detained by the Israeli Navy and their boat towed away.
