Iran parliamentarian: US withdrawal from JCPOA harms int\\\'l community

Iranian Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs said on Saturday that the US unilateral withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will hurt the international community.

Iran Press/Africa: 'Flagrant violation of UN Security Council's binding resolution on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by one of the council's permanent members is unprecedented and should it continue, it will certainly harm all the international community,' said Iranian Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs Hossein Ali Amiri in a meeting with Algerian Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Emigration of the National Popular Assembly, Abdelhamid Si Afif.

The Algerian official, for his part, reiterated his country's support for the JCPOA and expressed the hope that 'Iran would move around current difficulties and that good conditions would be prepared for the Iranian nation.'

Si Afif, who is on a visit to Iran called 'artificial crises and efforts in the region' in line with the 'Zionist regime's plans', saying that they are aiming to weaken the Islamic countries.

 

Chairman of the Iranian parliamentary Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy, Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh's meeting with  Algerian Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Emigration of the National Popular Assembly, Abdelhamid Si Afif on Saturday.

On the Same day, chairman of the Iranian parliamentary Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy, Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh also had a meeting with Abdelhamid Si Afif.

'Algeria is looking forward to expanding economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic and it's also looking to cooperate in other fields in which both sides are highly capable,' said, the  Algerian top official on Saturday.

The official highlighted 'strong and friendly parliamentary relations' between the North African country and Iran. 'Algeria has hosted various delegations from Iran and many high-level talks have been held between the two countries,' said Si Afif.

In the meeting, the Iranian lawmaker praised 'good and friendly bilateral relations' between Iran and Algeria. Falahatpisheh also expressed hope 'some problems in the way of implementing previously-reached agreements, including in banking and trade sectors' would be resolved.

Chairman of the Iranian parliamentary Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy said Iran's peaceful nuclear energy programme and enhancing its defense capabilities by using its own knowledge has turned into a 'challenge' for the US, Israel, and their regional supporters.104/203/213
