Two military personnel were killed in a clash between troops and terrorists in North Waziristan district of Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a military statement said late Sunday night.

Iran PressAsia: An exchange of fire took place between army troops and terrorists on Saturday, according to the military's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), which resulted in the killing of two terrorists while injuring two others along with the death of the soldiers.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists, the ISPR said.

"Sanitization of the area has been carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area," it added.
