Beijing(IP) - China's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of China and the Iranian Ambassador to Beijing met and discussed the expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

Iran PressAsia: China's Deputy Foreign Minister Deng Li, in a meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to China, appreciated the efforts of Mohammad Keshavarzadeh in advancing the development of relations between the two countries and said: "Iran and China are comprehensive strategic partners and whatever the international conditions as well as   the region changes, China will continuously develop its friendly cooperation with Iran."

Deng Li stated: "China will continue to actively support Iran in improving relations with regional countries and jointly promoting regional peace, security, and development."

The Iranian ambassador to China, whose mission will end soon, appreciated the Chinese government's support for the expansion of relations with Iran and said:

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has consistently and decisively supported China in issues related to the main interests of this country and is willing to agree Beijing should deepen cooperation in various fields and help the further development of relations between the two countries." 

The Iranian diplomat added: "Iran appreciates China's important role in promoting the improvement of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia and expects China to continue to play its important role for peace and stability in the region."
