The President of Pakistan, expressing his concern about the recent protests in the country, asked the people to exercise self-restraint by avoiding violence.

Iran PressAsia: At the same time as the political situation in Pakistan escalated following the arrest of the former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the protest of his supporters continues in various cities, and the army forces were called to the city of Islamabad to control the situation in the two violent states of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the financial corruption case, and he appeared in the anti-embezzlement court session yesterday evening, Wednesday, by the agents of the National Audit Office.

The judge of the anti-corruption court sent him to prison for eight days at the request of the agents of the National Audit Office of Pakistan to interrogate Imran Khan and complete the investigation. According to IRNA Thursday, the President of Pakistan "Arif Alvi" expressed concern about the recent events in this country, condemned the riots, especially the attack on government and military facilities, and asked the people to avoid violence.

"Arif Alvi" added in a statement that peaceful protest is the right of every citizen in Pakistan in accordance with the country's constitution, but this process must always remain within the law.

The President of Pakistan expressed hope that the situation in Pakistan will calm down soon. The Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif also warned in a televised speech last night that elements against the country should stop their actions and enmity, otherwise, the country's law and system will deal strongly with the rioters.

"Imran Khan" has been removed from his position on Sunday, April 10, 2022, with 174 positive votes out of a total of 342 votes received in the parliament, and Shahbaz Sharif has replaced him.

In recent months, "Imran Khan" has announced the dissolution of the national parliament and the announcement of the final date for holding early elections in Pakistan as the only condition for withdrawing from opposition to Shahbaz Sharif's government or ending the political deadlock in the country.
