"Most part of income in our municipalities are not sustainable, they heavily are depended on tax and charges like construction taxes that are considered to be disposable incomes; in order to have sustainable income for municipalities in different cities, we have to outsource some of services and projects to private sector" Alviri said.

Head of the high council of the provinces continued: "in this regard, we had some negotiations and asked municipalities to offer projects that have technical and economic justification; proper guarantees are also predicted in investment rules and regulations".

Alviri added "What we asked different provinces is to offer lists of projects that private sector inside or outside of Iran can participate and invest. We will hold seminars to present these projects and find foreign investors; naturally, Iranians who live outside of the country and want to invest in projects in their hometown are in priority".
