Beijing (IP) - The Chairman of the Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce announced the details of the Iranian President's visit to China after a three-year pause due to the corona pandemic.

Iran PressAsia: Ebrahim Raisi will leave Tehran for Beijing on Monday to have a three-day visit at the formal invitation of his Chinese counterpart.

In an interview with Iran Press news Agency, Majid Reza Harirchi said that it is the first formal trade delegation in the world that goes to China after three years of corona restrictions.

Harirchi expressed hope the agreements signed between the two sides in the past few weeks, would achieve good results during the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to China.

With regard to the 25-year Comprehensive Agreement between Iran and China, he said that the document of cooperation encompasses political, economic, military, tourism, sports, and other fields which would be addressed in the trip, yet the economic and environmental issues would be more focused on. 

Ebrahim Raisi is scheduled to first visit his counterpart Xi Jinping; then the high-ranking delegation of the two countries will hold negotiations over signing cooperation agreements.

Meeting with Chinese scholars and intellectuals is another part of the Iranian president's program.
