Tehran (IP) - Iran's society enjoys a rich Iranian-Islamic civilization the protection of which is up to the country's intellectuals, President Raisi says.

Iran PressIran news:  Ebrahim Raisi mentioned poetry, art, architecture, etc. as the manifestation of the old civilization of Iran and that it was the duty of the country's duty to burden the protection of which through such tools as books. 

Raisi made the remarks at the 40th Islamic Republic of Iran's Book Award and the 30th Islamic Republic of Iran's World Book Award on Wednesday.

One of the greatest supporters of authors and publishers, and poets in the country was the leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, he noted and said that the administration also was duty-bounded to prepare the grounds for authoring and publishing more books. 

In the ceremony, awards were given to authors whose works were selected in such topics as religion, linguistics, pure science, applied science, midwifery science, literature, history, and children.

Speaking at the 40th Islamic Republic of Iran's Book Award on Wednesday, Mohammad-Mahdi Esmaili said the Islamic Revolution was a full-cultural revolution.

 

Esmaili referred to the late Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini and said he wrote such books in his youth that are now acting like a beacon on society's path. 

He then pointed to the leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the one to whom the current mainstream literary movements in the country owed. 

Esmaili also reported the launch book internet TV in the near future.
