Tehran(IP)- The Deputy Minister and Head of the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran said that during the last 15 months, Russia has been the biggest investor in the country with 2.7 billion dollars.

Iran PressIran news: The figure accounts for some 45% of the total foreign investment attracted by Iran over the period, said Ali Fekri.

According to Shada, Speaking in a news conference, Fekri said: "These investments are by the global standards, mainly in 2 oil projects in Ilam province."

He said that the second to fifth countries investing in Iran during the mentioned period are UAE, Turkiye, China, and Afghanistan respectively.

Fekri said Iran had set a target of $10.2 billion in direct foreign investment for the 15 months to December last year of which some $5.95 billion had entered the country.
