Tashkent (IP) – Iran and Uzbekistan have called for enhancing cooperation in the transit field.

Iran PressAsia: Iran's Ambassador to Uzbekistan Hamid Nayyerabadi and the Uzbek Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov met in Tashkent.

The two sides underlined the recent enhancement of mutual ties during the meeting.

They also urged the full implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the Iranian President’s official visit to Uzbekistan in September 2022.

Both sides also called for the proximity of Uzbekistan and Iran's stances on Afghanistan.

In the meeting, the two officials announced readiness to advance joint projects in the economic and trade fields.
