Ankara (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday in Ankara.

Iran PressAsia: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived at Ankara Esenboğa Airport on Tuesday for a one-day trip.

Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.

He also opened the first round of negotiations with his Turkish counterpart after being welcomed.

Regional and international issues, the development of bilateral political, economic, and consular relations, and the evaluation of the results of Iran's top diplomat's regional trip, to Lebanon and Syria, are the most important topics in the dialogue between the foreign ministers of Iran and Turkey in Ankara.

Following the meeting with his Turkish counterpart Cavusoglu, Amir-Abdollahian also met with Turkish president Erdogan.

After meeting with the president, the Iranian Foreign Minister has also started the second round of talks with his Turkish counterpart.
