Iran Press/ Asia: North Korea fired an unidentified ballistic missile toward the East Sea on Friday, the South Korean military said, less than a week after its launch of two medium-range ones.
Military authorities in South Korea and the U.S. are analyzing the launch's details, including its range, speed, and altitude, Yonhap news reported on Friday.
Also, Japan's coast guard said North Korea had fired something into its eastern waters that could be a ballistic missile.
On Sunday, the North launched what Seoul officials called two medium-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea. It later claimed the launch was a reconnaissance satellite development effort.
Earlier this month, North Korea said it tested a "high-thrust solid-fuel motor" for a new strategic weapon, a development that could allow it to possess a harder-to-detect arsenal of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
