Tashkent (IP) – Iranian karatekas bagged five gold, four silvers and seven bronze medals on Saturday, the second day of the 18th Asian karate Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Iran PressAsia: Hafez Hafzikia in para karate, Zahra Ebrahimi, Fatemeh-Zahra Saeedabadi, Mohammad-Javad Safari in the junior Kumite and Mahmoud Nemati in the youth Kumite bagged the gold medals.

Sepideh Amini in the youth girls' kata, Morteza Karimi, Zahra Alizadeh and Kimia Yusefi in the youth Kumite collected the silver medals.

Elina Safajou and Sepehr Darabi in the junior Kumite, Mohammad-Mehdi Mohajeri, Mohammad Gudarzian, Hannaneh Salehi, Alireza Heydari and Hadi Kiyani in the youth Kumite won the bronze medals.

Earlier on the first day of the competitions, Iranian representatives had collected seven medals, including one gold, two silver and four bronze.

At the end of the second day, the Iranian team has bagged a total of 23 medals, including six gold, six silver and 11 bronze.

The 18th Asian karate Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is underway from December 16th to 20th, 2022.
