Turkey (IP) - Officials of Turkey and Iran met and discussed the border security between the two neighbors on Thursday.

Iran PressAsia: In this meeting, which was hosted by Igdir province in the east of Turkey and bordering Iran, issues related to transit and security were also discussed.

The Iranian delegation was headed by Colonel Sadegh Rostamzadeh, the commander of the Mako border regiment, and the Turkish delegation was headed by Engin Sari Ibrahim.

Iran and Turkey share a border of 500 km, most of which is made up of inaccessible mountainous regions, and the four provinces of Agra, Igdir, Van, and Hakari from Turkey border with West Azarbaijan province of Iran. 219
