Palestine (IP) - People in Palestine's Gaza Strip commemorated the 35th foundation anniversary of Hamas.

Iran PressMiddle East: Hamas, Islamic Resistance Movement, is a Palestinian organization founded in 1987 to fight the Israeli regime's occupation of Palestine.

Since 1948, the Israeli regime has been occupying Palestine, killing the Palestinian people and destroying their homes.

The severe suppression of the Palestinian people and forcing them to migrate is just a part of the racist policy of the Israeli regime, which is ongoing with the US and Europe's green light.

Ismail Haniyeh and Khaled Mashaal are Hamas leaders.

Some countries like Canada and US consider the group a terrorist organization, yet the United Nations General Assembly rejected a US resolution condemning Hamas as a terrorist organization.

A two-thirds majority was required for the motion to pass. 87 voted in favor, 58 against, 32 abstained, and 16 did not vote.

Iran, Brazil, China, Egypt, Norway, Qatar, Russia, Syria, and Turkey are among the countries that do not reject the Palestinian movement as a terrorist organization.
