Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his latest tweet, reacted to the removal of Press TV from Eutelsat, saying that move against Press TV shows the true face of the false claimants of freedom of expression and free flow of information.

Iran Press/Iran news: The spokesperson of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: While Europe hosts many channels promoting violence and terrorism against Iran, Eutelsat satellite removed Press TV from its list due to European Union sanctions.

"Nasser Kanaani Chafi," the spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote on Twitter on Thursday morning: "The new action against Press TV shows the true face of the false claimants of freedom of expression and free flow of information."

The French satellite company Eutelsat cut the network a few weeks after the European Union imposed sanctions against the English-speaking news channel Press TV.

The European Union has recently sanctioned Press TV and Iranian individuals and organizations under the pretext of supporting democracy.

In recent years, the English-speaking news channel Press TV has often been under pressure from satellite service providers under false pretenses.

Eutelsat company's action in removing Press TV programs is against international regulations and media freedom.

At the same time, last week, the US government also put the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting ( IRIB) and some of the departments of this organization, including the World service department, on its sanctions list.
